One ADME Investigator is all it takes to contribute to advancing new therapies to improve patients’ lives. At the Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research (NIBR), we are reimagining medicine using science-based innovation. PK Sciences is a global organization of about 300 associates, situated within Translational Medicine (TM), the clinical research arm of NIBR. PK Sciences plays a pivotal role in bringing innovative medicines to patients, by building on research advances to develop new therapies, bridging drug discovery and clinical application. PK Science is an enterprise organization, working across both NIBR and the Global Drug Development (GDD) organizations to advance the scientific knowledge of pharmacokinetics, metabolism and clinical pharmacology. The ADME In Vitro team is looking for an ADME Lead Investigator with a dual role of laboratory work coordination both internally and with external partners and project support. Responsibilities include identification of enzymes and transporters involved in the disposition of drug candidates and assessment of absorption and elimination in humans. The candidate will work in a team of skilled scientists and must have a strong scientific knowledge of ADME InVitro assays commonly used from early discovery until registration with a proven track record of relevant scientific publications and presentations at scientific conferences. What you’ll be doingProject support includes input to the design and monitoring of studies required to enable testing in humans, including compilation of technical documents, study reports, and authoring documents in support of regulatory submissions.Laboratory work includes developing new in vitro assays/models with improved predictive power and adapt the assay portfolio to the evolving needs of the organization. Other activities include the development of internal and external collaborations to address specific project needs and the active participation in multi-disciplinary project teams. The selected candidate shall be able to cover various aspects of drug disposition and be capable of providing expert technical/scientific assistance on projects as well as strategic input. Working in a team across geographies, mentoring less experienced associates and continue to develop the team skills to maintain competitive edge.
